For the Faux Hawk, use hair wax, dont use too much, a fingertip or two (index finger) is usually enough. You can finish off with a hair dryer but make sure it has a diffuser so you dont dry the hair too much (the referenced hair dryer above comes with a diffuser already).

For the classic side part, a little pomade and a comb. If you dont want the hair to appear sleek (like shiny), then a light hair gel is enough. Comb from your preferred temple (left or right).

Does anyone know what men's hair products to use to get Gareth Bale's side part undercut hairstyle? And what hair styling tools like a hair dryer to use?

I got the haircut but I'm struggling to find the right way to style it like below the side part undercut picture of Gareth Bale. Can someone please let me know what I need to use. I'm not looking for exact brands but I just want to know instructions about what hair products I have to use and buy (i.e. hair gel, wax, matte styling wax clay, pomade, mousse, hairdryer, comb, etc).

Tuddin, for that particular Gareth Bale hairstyle, you'll need a good hair mousse product and a good hair dryer. Coat your hair with hair mousse and then use your fingers to style your hair up while blow drying the hair with the hair dryer.

That hairstyle you posted of Gareth Bale is an Undercut with volume (puffy), we covered it at the start of this thread.

Great thread. Im new to the forum and am currently trying to emulate a similar haircut to gareth bale - a DIY cut! If i havent attempted one before... would forum members say the side parting (believe this is emphasised using a blade?) would be a step too far if im doing it myself?

Ive currently got long hair so is gonna be a lot to chop off. Im tight for cash but thought maybe go to a cheapish barber who MIGHT do a half decent job and try to do it myself in the future once the style is relatively similar to what im going for?

Proper1, yes the Undercut is very easy to do yourself, all you need is a hair clipper technically (see a good list of hair clippers HERE). We explained the haircut for the Undercut in this thread (pages 3 and 4).

Really, what you want to do for the haircut in the Undercut is clip all the hair in the sides and back of your head with the same guard/comb/blade. The hair on the top of your head can be as long as you want but longer than 6 inches and the hair in the Undercut doesn't look good because the Undercut doesn't hold up volume very well (volume hairstyles look better with taper haircuts).

So yes just buy a good quality hair clipper like the ones we have listed in the hair clipper thread and follow the instructions. Then the hair on the top cut it with some scissors and always slowly!! Once you cut hair, you have to wait a long time for the hair to grow back so always cut hair slowly.

To style the Undercut like Gareth Bale, just buy one of the pomades in the first page of this thread, maybe a good comb too like we propose in this best hair products thread. And yes the parted line is enhanced with a razor or a hair clipper, that is not Gareth Bale natural hair parted line

I was thinking of having it like, Gareth Bale Undercut with hair parted high or Gareth Bale with side parted hair and a classic haircut. 3 inches of hair length on the top is perfect for the Gareth Bale lookalike hairtstyle. What is your hair type?
If u have wavy or coiled hair, go for 5 inches instead.
