Hey, I was searching the web for a specific type of vintage hairstyle that was popular in the 1940s and found a couple of pictures of the exact hairstyles I am interested in.

All of these have this wave that pushes in at the front. My question is, what is the name of these hairstyles, or at least what was it called when men made their hair with waves? Can someone also please give me a link to a guide on how to achieve the look, as it is very hard to find anything. Thanks
