Starting beard help

well it's been 2 weeks since I last shaved and decided to grow a beard I have tried and failed many times at this stage for one reason ITCHING there's itchy and there's wanting to claw my face off I have got myself some beard oil to try help me through this phase but should it really be this bad I'm 27 and my facial hair grows in pretty quick any advice even just someone who has just got through this phase to say it's normal and it will pass
