so glad I found this forum, have had queries for a long time and can never find the answers on-line.
I'm afraid I'll be more of a learner than someone able to advise – except for chipping in with experiences I've had and stuff.
Just so you know i feel a bit selfish putting the queries I have in a new thread on account of being so new etc

That's fine, we are here to help. I do suggest however that you go though the many hairstyle guides that we have in our hairstyles section and do also go through our hair section for hair care guides and hair grooming guides. We are happy to help, but we will be more keen to help if you outline specific issues that you are encountering.

Also, if you haven't already, I suggest that you get a copy of The Men's Hair Book (see the link) as that book is a massive problem solver. The book is not of the forum itself (it's written by a guy called Rogelio Samson), but we still highly recommend that book as it stresses hair care and grooming above hairstyling, which is exactly the key to having hairstyles that you are happy with and that you can do in seconds.
