How to help my straight hair to go curly or wavy

Hi i have 16 Years old and i have this kind of hair that looks straight and some parts like the front looks wavy
i think its curling or getting wavy but the thing is it goes back to straight in 2 days or less so i would love if someone have some tips to help my hair get wavy at least i really love curly hair
my grandfather father mother and even my brother have curly hair so i dont know if it will curl cause my cousin had straight hair and at 17 y/o it got curly
