Right hair product for slicking back wavy curly hairstyles?
Okay so I have medium length, wavy-curly hair that I slick back. I use Aussie Instant Freeze mousse that comes in a purple bottle and a hair spray called Sprunch from Aussie as well. It works well but it hardens my hair which I don't like. It also makes it look wet. I'd rather it look dry and natural. My hair also goes curly at my neckline in the back and it all curls toward my right ear. My hair looks ridiculous in the back with it curling up all towards one side. I don't like it.

I'm looking for a product that has a strong hold but doesn't harden my hair or make it look wet. I've read around and I've looked at pomades and Moroccan oil but I'm not sure how strong those hold. I need something with a strong hold to hold my wavy hair relatively straight when I slick it back. Does anyone know of a product that can do this for me? If so please tell me.

Also is there any way to stop my hair from curling at the bottom around my neck, or at least stop it from curling all towards one side? It looks so disproportionate the way it is now.

Layrite may do the job. Especially if you look for something that would not enhance the curliness of your hair. For me, it has a straightening effect whereas petroleum based pomades make them more curly.
