Lebron James Afro hair at age 16!

Lebron James used to have an afro hairstyle back when he was 16. Instead of his usual buzz cut, Lebron James had his afro textured hair long and puffed out.

Lebron James didn't last long with his afro though and he soon buzzed it. He seems to have stuck with a near shaved buzz cut for the rest of his NBA career.

Not you alone. As a sportsman it's difficult to have well looked after hair and basketball can have some physical contact etc which will break any hairstyles you do. I think I have seen pictures of him when he had an afro tying it all on the top so it was a ball of curls on the top of his head. Cant remember where I saw that though.

It seems like the afro could make it difficult for his scalp to breathe too, especially with all the sweating. I never really understood why athletes have longer hair during games, just feels like a nuisance.
