John Rock was African American gentleman from the 19th century who had a thick long beard that was uncommon for black men at the time. John Rock was a civil rights leader supporting the rights of black people at a time of widespread racism. John Rock promoted the education of black women and black men as well as better rights for his peers. He was a doctor and the first African American to be accepted into the Supreme Court of the United States!

Yep, epic beard!
His beard looks of wavy coiled hair type instead of kinky curly hair type. Beard hair normally is curlier from the hair on the scalp so I wonder how his beard looked so wavy, IMO perfect beard
