How to get smooth shiny hair for men? Damaged tips and products
Hello, I want tips for my damaged and lifeless hairs.

Hello, I'm new here hope y'all having a nice day, I'm 16 year old, I'm worried. And i have been facing hair problems since maybe 2 years ago, and I haven't had any hair treatments or similar. I feel like my hair is damaged because I can't comb it, and my hair looks so dry and lifeless only the roots look alive. Please give me some tips to improve my hair.

Should I visit a hair specialist or do a treatment at home somehow? Any good shampoo or mens hair products to get my hair smooth, shiny and silky?

Maybe this is not the right thread to post my question, but i can't post it anywhere else because of some kind of permission. If necessary please move it.

Thanks.

RE: How to get smooth shiny hair for men? Damaged tips and products
There are lots of factors that may be affecting your hair. Has it always been like this?

What kind of products are you using currently and how often do you shampoo?

I think a mistake a lot of people make is to shampoo every day. Shampooing essentially breaks down and gets rid of all oils on the scalp and in the hair. If your hair is already quite dry then this may be making it even drier. Try not shampooing for a few days (shampoo every 4th day for example). It may sound dirty but it will allow your hair to build up the natural oils that it needs to be healthy.

If this has an effect then maybe that was the problem!

So for how many days should I not apply shampoo to my hair? Is it fine if i apply hair oil with the shampoo? Anyway I'm using a shampoo named Sunsilk Silk and Smooth. Sometimes I use some other shampoos, should I stick to the same shampoo? I will try not to use shampoo for a few days.

Do you think that my hair is damaged that bad? It is exactly how you described it: dry, colourless and lifeless. It's pretty short too. Should I just buzz my hair and start over?

I have blonde hair that looks bleached despite it being natural. I shampoo regularly every other day and Condition daily. It gets sticky when wet and clumpy when running my hand though it
