Help for biracial guy?
Hi, I'm looking for a pomade that's good for black/white hair. I honestly don't know how to describe my hair texture. When nothing is in it, it is just poofy. I usually get a 1 on the sides and 4 on top, when getting a haircut. I've tried Layrite Superhold and Suavecito Firm. Layrite does a pretty good job (I still have hairs that stick up). Suavecito is just OK; it looks good for about 5 minutes, but then I have tons of hair that just won't stay down. The reason I don't want to use Layrite is because of the parabens, which I hear I pretty bad.

I'm honestly at a loss at what to do. I love the side part look, but I don't know if I can really pull it off, since the hair sticking up throws off the whole look. I don't know if it's because my hair is still too short on top, if I need to use a leave in conditioner (in conjunction with pomade), or if I just need to keep trying pomades.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!
