Football players hairstyles - the Bad and the Ugly
These football players hairstyles have made it into our barbershop hall of shame and have proved that money cannot get you a good hairdresser or image consultant. Some footballers do have naturally bad hair (such as Marouane Chamakh), some other footballers have made hairstyling mistakes in the past that they have gradually fixed (like Neymar) and some other footballers really don't give a damn and deliberately wear horrible haircuts & styles to show that they can do it because they are the best thing since sliced bread (cough Stephan El Shaarawy cough...).
Let's have a look at all of them, shall we? Big Grin

Neymar Dos Santos
Neymar's hair has been living its own life for years as otherwise we cannot explain how Neymar's locks are constantly morphing - check the thread in the link to see all of Neymar's hairstyles and haircuts from his time in Brazil all the way to his time in FC Barcelona.
In hi defence, Neymar has calmed down himself and his hair a lot since he landed in Barcelona tho.

Marouane Chamakh
We feel bad for this dude as Marouane Chamakh has been balding since he was in his early 20s. He has tried to hide his hair loss with metro mullets and faux hawks and even with Toppik but his hair loss has progressed too fast & he seems to not realize everybody knows what's going in his scalp.

Nani
Nani went full retard and got himself recently a "N" letter sign shaved on his scalp to show "N"ani is "Numero 1" bro.

Diego Forlan
Diego Forlan is one of those guys who keeps to himself and usually doesnt do anything bizarre. But when he got his braids and cornrows for his long hair everyone knew he screwed up lol.

Gervinho
Some people claim that a 747 is capable of landing in Gervinho's forehead but we think this is a bit too exaggerated and that his forehead would be more suitable for private jets. However Gervinho's forehead is not huge because of the beauty of nature but because Gervinho is obsessed with braiding his hair and his hairline has been receded so much back through traction alopecia! You can check the pictures of his balding in this Gervinho's hair loss thread.

Kevin Prince Boateng
Kevin Prince Boateng's hair has followed the same morphing pattern as that of Neymar's locks. Boateng has kinky curly hair but he uses a hair straightener all the time to keep his hair straightened and be able to style his hair in mohawks and military haircuts. He is known as a bad boy and a show off and he uses his haircuts and styles to show everyone he can do it because he can Big Grin

Stephan El Shaarawy
Stephan El Shaarawy and Kevin Prince Boateng were friends in A.C. Milan and Stephan El Shaarawy got the hairstyling advice and tips from Kevin Boateng. El Shaarawy basically became a copycat version of his friend and he got all kinds of mohawks and other extreme haircuts and even received the Pope with a mohawk Big Grin (pictures in the link).

Mario Balotelli
A whole book on men's hair could be written about the styling choices of Mario Balotelli. He has dyed his hair all colours of the rainbow, he has buzzed his hair in all shapes and textures and he has straightened his hair so much that he burnt it and had to get a haircut - Mario Balotelli's hair type is kinky curly so many of his styles are done with a flat iron.

LOL Great article, big J!

Thankfully we have covered many of those soccer players in the forum because some of those hairstyles are worth being archived Big Grin

Epic mate lol for some reason football players have this thing of choosing the worst lot of hairdressers and barbers in town.
Surprised you didn't mention Cristiano Ronaldo.. sure he is got some decent styles as of lately but back in his younger years he got those tacky blond highlights he himself called the spaghetti hairstyle lol!! not to mention that Cristiano Ronaldo regretted those hairstyles and acknowledged that he was a bit of a twat too while back at Man United. Not to mention his love for the flat iron.

Gervinho has the greatest hair ever.
Footballers always seem to have some "out there" hairstyles.
Don't think i would have any of these hairstyles.

the thing is you must play around with your hair, and it takes time to get it where you want. It's all about experimenting sometimes you wont get what you had in mind.
