Been wanting this style for ages, but don't know how to get it.
I have been wanting to get this style for ages but unfortunately the only "barbers" around my house are hairdressing chains like SuperCuts and MagiCuts so I don't think they have a lot of experience. But what do I know.

I was wondering if this is actually a known style and if not, what can I tell the hairdresser.

Thank you very much for your time everyone!

RE: Been wanting this style for ages, but don't know how to get it.
That is an Ivy League haircut, it's a pretty standard haircut for a barber although commercial hair salon chains (read, female hairdressers been paid minimum wage) won't probably work as places to go to get a good Ivy League haircut.

You would need to go to a barber or specialized hair salon for that haircut. Simply ask for an Ivy League, he (or she) should know what it is Smile

Also, the Ivy League style works best with straight hair. In case you haven't yet seen our hair type guide, here it is http://www.menshairforum.com/talk/Thread...Kinky-hair (it's originally created by Rogelio and published in The Men's Hair Book)

Would you be able to guestimate the length on the sides and top?

Top (front above forehead): 4 centimeters or about 1 1/2 inches
Crown (back of the top): 2 centimeters or about 1 inch
Sides: 1 centimeter or about 1/2 inch - this is a number 4 with a hair clipper

Awesome thanks. Also what would you recommend for product? I don't want that wet shiny look.

Get THIS hair wax. It gives a natural look with some hold so it is not your typical greasy hair wax that makes your hair looks like you forgot to dry your hair after the shower Smile
