I have quite thick wavy/curly hair and it doesn't listen to me at all. I usually part my hair to the side but it ends up looking like a disaster. What's the best way to make it straighter and tidier as I am trying to grow it out.

RE: Advice
If you could provide some pictures that would be very helpful. However, without seeing it, the first thing that came to mind is thinning out your hair. With curls, you have a ton of volume built into your hair, so thinning it out won't really be that much of an issue. It won't reduce the length of your hair, but rather take out some of the weight. Now, make sure you get it done by someone that you really trust. If you go with someone who is relatively inexperienced, there is a good chance they will end up taking off some of your length.
